Operational Health Review

Operational Health Review

A structured four-week assessment of how work moves through your company — identifying bottlenecks, unclear handoffs, and habits that cost time without anyone noticing.

4 weeks On-site visits + remote sessions NSW and interstate by arrangement From $18,500 fixed fee

Who this is for

Owners and general managers of family-owned companies with 15 to 120 staff — typically in manufacturing, wholesale distribution, trades, or field services — who sense that operations have become harder to steer than they used to be, but cannot point to a single cause.

What you receive

  • A mapped view of your core workflows from customer enquiry through delivery and invoicing
  • Interviews with department leads and frontline staff who handle the handoffs
  • A written findings report with prioritised recommendations ranked by effort and impact
  • A 90-minute presentation to owners and key managers with space for questions
  • A follow-up call four weeks after delivery to check progress on agreed actions

What is included

Two on-site days (or equivalent remote workshops for interstate clients), document review of existing procedures and role descriptions, shadowing of at least three critical processes, and all reporting materials.

What is excluded

Implementation of changes, IT system selection, legal advice on employment or contracts, and accounting or tax work. We can recommend specialists where needed but do not perform those services themselves.

How it runs

Week 1 — Scoping and observation. We agree which processes matter most, review existing documentation, and schedule site visits or remote sessions with team leads.

Week 2 — Fieldwork. On-site observation, staff interviews, and mapping of actual workflows — including where they diverge from written procedures.

Week 3 — Analysis. We synthesise findings, test assumptions with you, and draft recommendations.

Week 4 — Delivery. Final report, presentation to leadership, and handover of action priorities.

Provider

Led by Margaret Chen, principal advisor, with support from an associate analyst who handles interview scheduling and process documentation.

Preparation

Gather any existing org charts, procedure manuals, and recent customer complaint logs. Identify two owners or senior managers who can attend the opening and closing sessions.

Constraints

We take on a maximum of two Operational Health Reviews concurrently to protect attention quality. Engagements require access to staff for 30–45 minute interviews and permission to observe live work where safe and appropriate.

Pricing

Fixed fee from $18,500 depending on site count and staff size. A detailed quote follows the discovery call once scope is confirmed.
