Succession Readiness

Facilitated sessions and documentation so the next generation inherits clear roles, decision rights, and a shared understanding of how the business operates.

6–8 weeks Family and leadership sessions Sydney office or client premises From $12,000

Overview

Succession in a family company is rarely a single event. It is a series of gradual transfers — of knowledge, authority, and relationships — that go poorly when left implicit. This engagement creates structure around those transfers without forcing premature decisions about ownership or legal structures.

Scope

  • Current-state role mapping for family members involved in the business
  • Facilitated conversations on decision rights, reporting lines, and boundaries between family and business
  • Draft role profiles for incoming leaders
  • A shared document outlining agreed next steps and review dates

Timeline

Six to eight weeks with fortnightly sessions, typically 90 minutes each, involving two to six family participants plus the incumbent leader where appropriate.

Not included

Legal structuring of share transfers, estate planning, valuation, or mediation of unresolved family disputes. We refer to appropriate professionals when those needs arise.
